     One of the rising  realities in our world today is that people are turning away, even running away from God. When I say people I  mean both young and old. In some churches around the country there is a decline in attendance.  Parents and unfortunately their children are staying home. This message is not intended to be framed as a chastisement, or condemnation, It is a message of encouragement. 

     This story of Jonah,  is a story in which we see the character of Jonah, and yes he actually, deliberately and intentionally ran away from God.  We also see the character of God who loves, cares for, and doesn’t give up on Jonah.  At the end of the day and simply: put, we will see that in this life, rather than being swallowed up by our own resistance to God,  it’s better for us to listen , hear and respond to the voice of a faithful, caring and loving God. 

May God prosper you according to His divine will and purpose.
