Through the lens of literary criticism we can safely conclude that there are repeated themes in the biblical text that point us to God. One of the repeated themes is the “transformative power” of God that changes peoples lives. Today I would like provide a few examples of lives that were transformed by the power of God. I invite you to fact check me, and in your fact checking my prayer is that you encounter God in your study and that your life be continually prospered according to the will and purpose of God.
These stories highlight the transformative power of encountering God’s grace and mercy, regardless of one’s past or circumstances.
There are many accounts of lives being transformed through healings. Sight given to the blind, healing of diseases, the paralyzed made to walk and even the raising of the dead. When a particular theme is repeated over and over we should pay attention.
These stories also remind us that no one is beyond the reach of God’s transformative power. I am a perfect example of that. No matter what we struggle with and even as we face our darkest hour, God’s grace is always available to bring about redemption and renewal in our lives. Join us next time on Faith Talk.
